Bright, bold, and bursting with sweetness — F1 Golden Star produces a dazzling display of pretty white flowers followed by heavy crops of thick, blocky peppers with a rich, juicy flavour. These golden beauties add colour, crunch, and sweetness to any dish, and the plants are wonderfully productive from early summer right through to autumn. A real standout in any greenhouse or patio!
June to October - Pick when peppers are swollen, glossy, and firm. Leave longer to ripen for even sweeter, richer flavour.
• Planting: Space 45cm apart in well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot.
• Where to Grow: Best in a greenhouse. Can grow in pots in a conservatory or warm patio, though outdoor crops will be smaller.
• Watering: Keep consistently watered without letting the soil become soggy.
• Shade in Extreme Heat: In very hot summers, give plants some light shade to protect delicate leaves.
• Support: Stake plants once they reach 30cm tall to support the growing peppers.
• Feeding: Feed only when 2–3 peppers have set — not before.
• Fruit Set Trick: If only one pepper appears and stalls at around 5cm, pick it to encourage more to form.
• Warm Feet: Grow in pots or growbags — peppers prefer warm roots for better fruiting.
• Pick Often: Regular harvesting boosts productivity and keeps plants producing for longer.
• Sunny = Sweet: The more light your peppers get, the sweeter and brighter they become.
