A compact, early cropping delight! Red Skin produces unusually large, glossy fruits for its size, maturing from green to deep red with a deliciously sweet taste. Perfect for growing on a windowsill, patio, or in a greenhouse.
June to October — pick when swollen and glossy, green or red.
• Planting: 45cm apart in well-drained soil or a pot.
• Position: Sunny but sheltered. Thrives in a greenhouse but will grow on a conservatory sill or sunny patio (smaller yields outdoors).
• Watering: Keep soil moist until established and during dry periods, but not soggy.
• Support: Stake plants at around 30cm tall as peppers begin to form.
• Feeding: Only feed once 2–3 peppers are developing — not before.
• Warm Feet: Peppers grow best in pots or grow bags that warm up quickly.
• Pick to Encourage: If only one pepper is forming, pick it to stimulate more growth.
• Sun Protection: Provide a little shade in rare intense heat to protect delicate leaves.
• Moisture Matters: Keep soil evenly moist for steady, healthy crops.
