Tarragon – Russian (Perennial)

A hardy perennial with slender green leaves and a milder aniseed flavour than French Tarragon. Perfect for the UK climate, Russian Tarragon adds subtle flavour to eggs, fish, cheese, poultry, and can be used to make tarragon oil or salad dressings. Ideal for beds or containers.

Planting

  • Location: Plant in beds or containers in well-drained soil or compost.

  • Sunlight: Thrives in full sun or partial shade.

  • Space: Give enough room for upright growth without overcrowding.

Care

  • Watering: Water well until established; prefers slightly drier conditions once mature.

  • Maintenance: Remove any old or yellowing leaves to encourage fresh growth.
