Marmara Pepper
A long, glossy, all-rounder pepper, changing from green to red over the summer. Sweet, crisp, and versatile — perfect for eating raw, roasting, or adding to your favourite dishes.
Harvest
June to October — pick when peppers are swollen, glossy, and vibrant.
Growing Instructions
• Planting: 45cm apart in well-drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered spot.
• Position: Greenhouse is ideal, but can also grow in pots on a sunny patio or in a conservatory.
• Watering: Keep well watered until established and during dry spells, avoiding waterlogging.
• Support: Once plants reach roughly 30cm, stake as peppers start to form.
• Feeding: Only feed once 2–3 peppers have developed. If only one pepper appears, pick it to encourage more fruit.
Top Tips
• Warm Feet: Grow in pots or grow bags to keep roots warm.
• Shade in Heat: Protect delicate leaves during rare hot spells with light shading.
• Encourage Fruit: Early picking of lone peppers stimulates further crops.
